Appearance

Appearance is controlled by the display module. The appearance can then be tweaked by the admin (and eventually the user) via CSS. Like all modules, they can be loaded or unloaded by the admin. The default display depends on the interface, usually web.

The current default appearance of this Wiki is "Web" with the "Buttonwood Forest" css theme.

Buttonwood

Based on the default appearance of the Sycamore Wiki, the Buttonwood theme has four color variations available:

|horizon.forest.png
Forest|horizon.ice.png
Ice|horizon.earth.png
Earth|horizon.sky.png
Sky|

Much thanks to Mike Ivanov and Philip Neustrom of Davis Wiki and the Sycamore project: they created the theme Buttonwood is based upon. Simple and functional.

The name is derived from Sycamore: "Buttonwood" is a common nickname for a particular species of United States East Coast Sycamore. The Sycamore Wiki project was conceived in California, home to the California Sycamore, while Click Wiki was conceived in Pennsylvania, home to the American Sycamore, aka Buttonwood. (In addition, the creator of Click Wiki originally hailed from Florida, home to the Mangrove species known as Buttonwood).

Cyclops

The Cyclops appearance is based on the default MediaWiki appearance, the most famous example of which is Wikipedia. The name is from "Encyclopedia". It is designed for people looking to create a Wikipedia-esque experience for their users (or users who are used to Wikipedia's default appearance).

Lurch

Not a normal display module, Lurch is a debugging module that features sliding sections to display various state variables and information about the user. Useful for people authoring new modules or debugging the Click Wiki core.
